Mission: The 08 Bloggers Network is comprised of blogs that discuss the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election. The function of 08 Bloggers is to increase bloggers’ access to candidates by establishing an organization capable of leveraging campaigns for access as well as establish a mutually beneficial community.

Learn More About The 08 Bloggers Network…

What will the 08 Bloggers Network do?

  • For now, the mission of 08 Bloggers is simple: 1) Organize, so that we can get responses to inquires from campaigns; 2) Coordinate events with members; 3) Promote individual content and increase readership for our sites; and, 4) Expand our numbers.
  • The blogosphere is an enormous medium and we believe now is the time for traditional media and candidates to recognize and respond to this new reality.

Why should I join 08 Bloggers?

  • First and foremost, you should join 08 Bloggers to further empower bloggers this election cycle. It’s simple really - the more members we have, the more access we can get.
  • Secondly, it’s a great way to increase readership of blog.
  • Third, facilitating discourse is essential. Regardless of your political leanings or party affiliation, we’re sure you recognize the need to at least engage the opposition…learn more about them, discover points of compromise and debate points of contention. Ideally, 08 Bloggers will facilitate this process by connecting politically diverse blogs.
  • Fourth, don’t you want to be part of the next exciting political change? It’s always something new in politics. This presidential election cycle, let’s make it us!

Who can join?

  • Bloggers that discuss the 2008 Presidential Election (note: your blog does not need to be dedicated only to the 2008 Presidential Election). Your site can swing in any political direction, the more the merrier.
  • If you’re interested in joining, see our instructions for membership page.

Now What?

  • 08 Bloggers does not currently have members who happen to possess magic powers. This means that progress isn’t going to be made overnight nor should it be expected. In the short term, you can expect your site traffic to increase as the network slowly grows. You can also expect events like debates/forums/round tables, which you’ll have the ability to participate in.

As bloggers, we want to be taken seriously (and yet not to seriously). Individually, our influence is limited. Collectively, we can do a lot. There’s no reason not to join…

What benefits arise from being part of the formation group?

Are there fees? Any advertising commissions or do all fees go to you?

Do you facilitate the media going with a good blog that day?

Can one become a permanent writer?

I think the time is right for an Independent ticket with Mitt Romney. The Republican party & John McCain are now controlled by the Liberal Media. If we don’t watch it, here come MexiCanAmerica!

Why are any of surprised that  Obama keeps winning?  He ’s organized, clear headed, articulate and possess all the qualities needed to win in November.  Above all, despite the rhetoric and policy issues, the role of President of the United States is to lead, assert oneself and to inspire.  As Americans we need to feel like our leader is a well-rounded thinker, flexible in regards to the constant changes occuring everywhere.  Obama has proven himself capable of  this task.  He has a core set of beliefs, yet he adjusts and reacts to the constantly shifting tides of human endeavor.   How can you ask for more?  He simply responds to the demands of the American people.  And the people think the Iraq war is a farce! The Bush camp has done its best to over-react to 9/11 and build up fear in order to justify the war.   Is it  time for a president who can speak his mind clearly and communicate his/her ideas so everybody can understand?   We are sickened by the this Rodeo MC named Bush who forced his way into our living rooms and embarrased the Good name of the US all the around the globe.
