2008 Central EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS: Republicans Fight Google Adwords War

You heard it here first folks. 2008 Central has observed the first shots of the Google Wars. Google Adwords is a service that lets you choose which words to associate with your advertisement and it appears as though the Repubclian candidates are utilizing this opportunity to target supporters of their opponents. What’s most interesting about this is that it gives us insight into who the campaigns view as their respective threats or targets.

Rudy Giuliani’s campaign has targeted John McCain, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee.

John McCain’s campaign has targeted Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani and Duncan Hunter.

Mitt Romney’s campaign has targeted Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Sam Brownback, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter and Newt Gingrich.

Of note, John McCain’s ads are especially misleading, often tricking you into thinking that you’re following a link to a website about the candidate that you searched for, when in reality, you’re following a link to his campaign’s website.
