Mitt Romney To Create A PAC

Mitt Romney plans to create a political action committee (PAC):
“We’re thinking about what new entity can be created to allow Governor Romney to remain politically active so he can raise money and campaign for Republicans, and advocate for the issues he cares about,” Eric Fehnrstrom, Romney’s long-time aide, said in an e-mail message.
And just in case McCain doesn’t pick him to be his running-mate (and he won’t), Romney already plans to contribute policy to a McCain administration, should there be one:
Other Republicans close to Romney said that Romney was looking for ways to position himself as the ideas factory for the Republican party over the next four years, contributing policy to John McCain, if he’s in the White House, or to Republicans in Congress, if McCain is not.
Mitt’s strategy is simple and telling about his future plans. He wants to continue building a network of support within the Republican party to solidify a future run should an opportunity arise. And, with respect to this election cycle, either he wants to be the VP nominee or he pretty much plans on becoming the political version of the annoying neighbor, Larry, from Three’s Company.
More to come on this, once the PAC gets off the ground. Till then, some proposed names:
- MittPAC-er
- 5 Issues (a “PAC”)
And one he should definitely not use:
- Flip-Flop PACtory

Romney is one of the slimiest politicians out there, and he has set his sites the White House. He will do whatever he has to, make any alliance, betray any trust to accomplish this goal. As bad as the Bush 43 Administration has been, I don’t think a Romney Administration would be much better.
