Obama for America campaign today released the following statement on the Michigan primary:

“We understand that when it comes to counting votes, the Clinton campaign favors whatever they think will benefit them. But on a day when Michigan legislators themselves have indicated that there isn’t enough legislative support for a re-vote—and when Senator Clinton’s own Michigan co-chair said that a re-vote ‘wouldn’t make much difference’—it doesn’t make any sense for them to point fingers at our campaign. As others in Michigan have pointed out, there are valid concerns about the proposal currently being discussed, including severe restrictions on voter eligibility and the reliance on private funding. Local election officials have indicated that they may be unable to discharge their responsibilities under the timetable this law sets. We have raised these concerns, as legislators in Michigan did today, and we’re waiting to see if these issues can be resolved by the legislature,” Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor said.

Why can’t Obama fly to Michigan and fight for a re-do the way a Presidential Candidate should? Clinton is doing it, and showing her strength. She’s not a candidate of “words,” whose only strong point is speaking eloquently; Clinton is a candidate of ACTION
Perhaps Obama and his wife Michele (lover of America that she is) are looking forward to going to church this Sunday in Chicago, where they get the audacity to hope from the man who preaches hate..

I’m not sure if he thinks the Clinton campaign only supports what’s in its own interest, or if the Clinton campaign is supporting something that by its own lights will not help it much. He probably ought to pick.

Got something to say?
