Obama Campaign to Ask McCain Why He Supports Failed Trade Policies Over American Jobs

As McCain speaks in Canada, Senator Brown and Governors Strickland and Granholm call on McCain to explain NAFTA support

Chicago, IL - As John McCain speaks in Canada today, United States Senator Sherrod Brown, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland will host a conference call to discuss how McCain’s support of NAFTA and “Bush mindset” on trade policies have contributed to the loss of a million American jobs.

Last year, during a meeting with the Des Moines Register, McCain said that NAFTA has been good for our economy and job creation. According to McCain, “all you have to do is go to Detroit and see the thousands of trucks lined up every day.” WATCH VIDEO HERE

Strickland, Brown and Granholm will discuss how Americans can’t afford four more years of the failed Bush policies on the economy that John McCain is offering, and how Barack Obama offers real change that will produce more jobs and a stronger economy.
