Polls Validate Our Analysis on VP Debate

Mark Blumenthal runs the numbers and comes to the same conclusion that we did before the debate: winning is irrelevant. Everyone remembers the Lloyd Bentsen line, but it did nothing. The only possible appearance that would matter is if Palin turned in a Admiral Stockdale type performance or if Biden made a horrifying gaffe. Neither happened, though both certainly came close.
